Elizabeth Newman, Vice President of Human Resources, leads and oversees all human resources functions, including employee relations, compensation, employee development and training, talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, EDI programs, ESOP, volunteer programs, and workers’ compensation. Charged with supervising and maintaining a smooth operation of the firm’s human resources department, Elizabeth also provides consultation and strategic guidance to management in related matters.
With over 25 years in the human resources field, Elizabeth has held leadership roles within the engineering and construction environment as well as in the oil and gas industry where she worked with unions and collective bargaining. During her career, she has worked with U.S.-based companies doing business in Europe, Africa, and Mexico and has overseen staff within a multi-state environment. In addition, she has gained over 10 years of experience working with ESOPs (employee stock ownership plans).
Elizabeth earned both a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in business management and a master’s degree in industrial sociology from Marshall University. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), a Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), and a National Workers Compensation Safety member.
