Garrett Pitcher

Garrett Pitcher, Ph.D. has a background in medical physics and nuclear engineering. Garrett has worked at various prestigious institutions, starting with their role as a Nuclear Engineering Co-op at the Y-12 National Security Complex from 2005 to 2007. Garrett then completed a Medical Physics Residency at the UF Health Cancer Center - Orlando Health from 2015 to 2017. Following this, they worked as a Medical Physicist at the Mayo Clinic from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, Garrett served as an Academic Medical Physicist and the Medical Physics Residency Director at the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Garrett Pitcher, Ph.D. has an extensive education history in the field of nuclear engineering and health/medical physics. Garrett obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2008 to 2009. Continuing their academic journey, Garrett completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health/Medical Physics from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2015.
