Yvonne Shea possesses a robust background in microbiology and regulatory affairs with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Substitute/Paraeducator at Howard County Public Schools since November 2022 and volunteering with the Maryland Food Bank since January 2021, Yvonne has demonstrated a commitment to community service. Previously, Yvonne worked as a Scientific Reviewer at the FDA from April 2010 to January 2021, focusing on in vitro diagnostics within the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. From 1981 to 2010, Yvonne held various roles at the National Institutes of Health, culminating in a leadership position within the Microbiology Service, where responsibilities included overseeing specimen processing and diagnostic testing to support patient care. Yvonne holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Maryland Baltimore and the University of Maryland, respectively.
