Debra A. Nixon

Debra A. Nixon is an experienced organizational specialist with a robust background in education and community advocacy. Since February 2005, Debra has served as an Organizational Specialist for the Maryland State Education Association, focusing on leadership development, strategic planning, and program development. Notable roles include founding member and parliamentarian of the Bowie State College of Education Advisory Board and participation on the National Association of Multicultural Education Network Board of Directors. Debra's earlier positions include CEO of Artique, Inc., managing director for the Michigan Education Association, and involvement in various boards advocating for public health and education. With a Bachelor of Science in History Education from Hampton and a minor in English from North Carolina Central University, Debra has dedicated a career to enhancing educational opportunities and community engagement.
