Lauren Shutler

Lauren Shutler is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement, education, and development. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Community Engagement at Mary's Center since August 2022, Lauren previously held the position of Community Engagement Officer. Lauren's background includes instructing English and Math to native Spanish and Creole-speaking students as an English Second Language Instructor with The Esperanza Project. As Director of Development and Outreach at Gearin' Up Bicycles, Lauren managed grant planning and community outreach initiatives. Additional roles range from substitute teaching to research internships and sales, showcasing a diverse skill set in both educational and community-focused environments. Lauren holds a B.A. in Sociology from Christopher Newport University, complemented by minors in Spanish and Leadership Studies.
