Eric Buley, MPA, has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit and public sectors. Eric has held leadership positions in organizations such as Mary's Place, ROOTS Young Adult Shelter, and YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish. In their roles, Eric has overseen program services, promoted continuous improvement, and managed budgets. Eric has also served as the President of the Board of Directors for ROOTS Young Adult Shelter, providing strategic planning and community support. Additionally, Eric has experience in conducting field research and analyzing data for public health surveys. Eric has coordinated operations, managed mentoring programs, and developed curricula in educational and LGBTQ+ settings. Eric's skills and experiences demonstrate their commitment to social justice issues and their ability to lead and create positive change in diverse environments.

Eric Buley, MPA obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Nonprofit Management & Social Policy from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington from 2015 to 2017. Eric also earned a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the University of Washington in 2016-2017. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Pacific Lutheran University from 2006 to 2010, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Political Science; Hispanic & Latino Studies; Global Studies (conc: Development & Social Justice). Additionally, they participated in two semester-abroad programs, studying International Development and Field Research at Makerere University in Uganda and Spanish and Political Science at Universidad de Granada in Spain in 2009 and 2008, respectively. Eric also holds additional certifications, including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in 2021, Nonprofit Leadership Center - Management Essentials certification from The Allstate Foundation in 2019, and a Diploma de Español (B2) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport in Spain in 2008.
