Sebastian Hilmer has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. In 2014, they interned at BMW Group, working on strategy and structural planning for powertrain. The following year, they became an international intern at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC., focusing on product/process planning interior/exterior. In 2016, they completed a term paper on lower-pressure casting for BMW Group and interned at Volkswagen Consulting in purchasing and quality. In 2017, they joined Trumpf for a master thesis project in pre-development connected systems. Also in 2017, they started working at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, where they held various roles including personal referent to the CEO in management, project manager in value chain and purchasing, and currently as head of business development OEM and automation.
Sebastian Hilmer completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering Science from the Technical University of Munich between 2011 and 2014. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, which they successfully obtained between 2015 and 2017.
