Thomas Alger

Thomas Alger has a diverse work experience in audit and risk management roles. Thomas most recently worked as the Chief Audit Executive for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Internal Auditor for the Illinois Department of Public Health. Thomas has also worked as an Accounting Instructor at UMass Boston and as the Deputy Director of Internal Audit at the Massachusetts Port Authority. Additionally, they held positions as the Director of Risk Management at MassDevelopment and as the VP and General Auditor at eSecLending. Thomas started their career as an Audit Manager at Marsh & McLennan Companies. Throughout their career, Thomas has been responsible for various audit activities, risk management, policy development, and building strong control environments.

Thomas Alger completed their education at American International College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Thomas also pursued further education at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, Thomas has obtained several certifications, including Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors, and Certified Risk Professional (CRP) from the Bank Administration Institute.
