Fernanda Ruiz Fadel is a Zoological Specialist at SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and has held the position since March 2023. Concurrently, Fernanda serves as a Scientific Writer for both Massive Science Inc. and Medium since April and December 2019, respectively. Previous experience includes roles at AIM - Advanced Identification Methods GmbH as Technical Assistance in the Molecular Laboratory, and at the University of Tübingen as a Guest Researcher and Lecturer, where expertise was applied in designing and teaching a module on Next Generation Sequencing. Fernanda has conducted significant research in behavioral genetics during a postdoctoral tenure focused on the Eurasian harvest mouse. Additional roles include managing social media at CAB Research and various internships centered on animal care and research. Fernanda holds a Ph.D. in Animal Behaviour and Genetics from the University of Lincoln, a Master’s degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and a Bachelor’s degree from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
