Derrick Ko

Derrick Ko is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology leader with extensive experience in the startup ecosystem. Currently serving as CEO and Co-founder at Matchday since August 2021, Derrick previously held the same title at Spin., the first shared micromobility company in the U.S., from December 2016 to June 2021, where the company scaled to serve millions of riders worldwide. Derrick’s career includes a role as Product Manager for Growth at Lyft and as a Founding Engineer at Kicksend, a Y Combinator S11 startup acquired by Lyft. Additional experience includes serving as Engineering Lead at Pivotal Labs, Co-founder of Startup Roots Singapore, and founding engineering roles at iSyndica and Yum.sg, the latter being recognized as the Yelp of Asia in 2007. Derrick's early career included positions at Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
