Brian Philbin

Brian Philbin has extensive work experience in the field of medical science, with a focus on hematology and coagulation. Brian started their career as a Medical Scientist in hematology at University College of London Hospital from 1998 to 2001. Brian then moved to St Vincents University Hospital in Dublin, where they worked as a Medical Scientist in hematology from 2002 to 2007. Brian then progressed to roles at Children's Health Ireland (CHI), where they held positions such as Senior Medical Scientist, Chief Medical Scientist in Haematology/Coagulation, and Acting Chief Medical Scientist. Most recently, they served as the Chief Medical Scientist at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital from November 2022.

Brian Philbin completed their Master's degree in Healthcare Management at the Institute of Public Administration Dublin 4 in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Galway and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Haematology from Ulster University.
