John Hurley

John Hurley has extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles within the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a Board Member for the National Office of Clinical Audit and the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee, as well as a Board Member for Cúram, John has been the Chief Executive Officer of Mater Private Network since 2014, where significant achievements include the successful sale of MP Healthcare to InfraVia Capital in 2018. John also chaired the Irish Private Hospital Association from 2020 to 2022, navigating the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, John worked as a Cardiac Surgery Consultant at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and completed a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. John trained in cardiac surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland after obtaining an MB BCh BAO from University College Cork.
