Johnny Butler

Johnny Butler has a diverse work experience in software development, specifically in the Ruby on Rails framework. Johnny has held various roles throughout their career, including Tech Lead, Developer, and Software Developer.

Most recently, Johnny worked at Materials Market as a Tech Lead, responsible for migrating an existing platform and implementing technical and operational tools to support the system. Prior to that, they worked at Kudocs, managing the development lifecycle of a LegalTech application. Johnny also managed the full development lifecycle at Happity, where they developed an eCommerce platform for parents to find and book baby classes.

Johnny also worked as a Tech Lead at clixifix Customer Care, where they managed a small development team and built a SAAS application for the construction industry. Johnny gained experience in the cyber security industry while working as a Full Stack developer at CNS Group, where they designed, developed, and deployed a benchmarking web application.

Earlier in their career, Johnny worked at Savantistech Ltd as a Full Stack developer, where they developed, supported, and hosted Ruby on Rails applications. Johnny also worked at Beef, where they built an eCommerce CRM web application using agile development methods.

Johnny's software development career started at Savantis Ltd, where they worked as a Software Developer and gained experience in the full development life cycle of web applications using Ruby on Rails.

Before entering the software development field, Johnny gained experience in IP engineering at O2 Ireland and worked as an Applications Developer during a work placement at Procter & Gamble.

Johnny Butler attended the University of Sunderland from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a BSC Hons in Computer Science.
