John Bertolaso has a diverse work experience in various design and engineering roles. John is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Materra since October 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded Materra in February 2019 and worked as a Co-Founder until October 2020.
Before their role at Materra, John worked at Daye from September 2019 to July 2020. John held the position of Senior Design Engineer and later became the Design Engineering and Sustainability Manager. At Daye, they were involved in research and development for new products, materials, machinery, and factory operations, as well as implementing sustainability initiatives.
From September 2018 to August 2019, John worked at RANDOM INTERNATIONAL as a Design Engineer, where they led multiple concurrent projects for both public and private sectors. John also worked at Tangent Design & Invention as a Design Engineer from November 2016 to February 2017, leading the design of two large-scale interactive kinetic art installations. John Bertolaso has a diverse education history. In 2002, they attended the European School of Luxembourg, where they obtained a European Baccalaureate. John then pursued a year of Architecture studies at St Luc Bruxelles in 2009.
