Marisa Miller

Marisa Miller is an experienced educator currently serving as a Science Teacher at Forest Hills High School and the East-West School of International Studies within the NYC Department of Education since August 2013. In addition, Marisa functions as a Master Teacher at Math for America, facilitating professional development for fellow educators while enhancing content knowledge. Marisa also offers private tutoring in Advanced Placement Environmental Science and Living Environment since September 2018. Past experience includes a Teacher Resident position at East Side Community High School and serving as an Urban Park Ranger with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, focusing on environmental education and endangered species management. Marisa holds a Master of Arts in Science Teacher Education from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Forest Biology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, along with continuing education in Biology and Ecology from Queens College and a Master's level certificate in Environmental Studies from Adelphi University.
