James Bowman

James Bowman is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in quality engineering and embedded systems. Currently serving as Quality Engineering Manager at MathWorks since October 2013, James has advanced through the ranks from Senior Quality Engineer to Senior Quality Engineer Team Lead. Prior to MathWorks, James held key roles at Steepest Ascent Ltd. from September 2005 to October 2013, including Head of Complex Systems and Principal Embedded Engineer. James began a career in advanced development at Sun Microsystems in 2002-2003. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with Business Studies, awarded with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde in 2005.
