Tom Harwood

Tom Harwood has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering. Tom currently works as a Principal Software Engineer at MathWorks since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Veracode as a Senior Principal Software Engineer from December 2015 to November 2018, where they developed static analysis tools. From March 2013 to December 2015, they worked at NuoDB as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on parser development and query optimization. Tom also has experience as a Senior Compiler Engineer at Adobe Systems, a Senior Software Engineer at Ounce Labs, and a Sr. Software Design Engineer at IMLogic. Tom was one of the initial engineers at Allaire/Macromedia, where they worked as a Principal Software Engineer on the CFMX project. Tom began their career at Progress Software and Language Technology, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer respectively.

Tom Harwood attended Margaret M. Sibley Educational Research and Demonstration Center from 1968 to 1973, and they graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1985 with a BA in Computer Science.
