Brian Greven has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry, with a focus on operations and manufacturing. Brian is currently working as the Senior Director of Operations at Matica Biotechnology, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Operations at Menarini Biotech from January 2020 to January 2023.
Before their role at Menarini Biotech, Brian worked at Samsung BioLogics from 2016 to 2019. Brian served as the Director of Clinical Manufacturing from September 2017 to December 2019 and as the Associate Director of Drug Substance Technical Services from January 2016 to September 2017.
From 2011 to 2015, Brian held various positions at Boehringer Ingelheim. Brian was the Senior Associate Director of Drug Product from May 2014 to December 2015, where they established a new syringe filling and visual inspection department and successfully completed GMP syringe fills. Prior to that, they were an Associate Director, responsible for capital project management and implementation of new Drug Product capabilities. Brian also served as the Senior Manager of Plant Engineering, overseeing a group of Plant Engineers and responsible for equipment modifications and new equipment implementation.
Brian started their career in the biotechnology industry at Amgen Fremont California as a Senior Engineer from 2002 to 2011. Brian also worked at Abgenix as a Manufacturing Specialist from 2002 to 2006, where they participated in the commissioning and start-up of a new manufacturing plant and interaction with regulatory agencies.
Brian's early experience includes roles at Genentech as a Research Associate, where they developed HPLC assays and performed high throughput HPLC and CE-SDS assays, and as a Bioprocess Associate.

Brian Greven has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Brian attended the university from 1993 to 1998. Brian also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012.
