Anant Patel

Anant Patel, PhD has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Anant is currently employed at Matinas BioPharma as the Sr. Director of Drug Product Development. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Drug Product Development at the same company.

Before joining Matinas BioPharma, Anant worked at Nevakar Inc. where they held various positions in their Technical Operations department. Anant started as a Manager in 2017 and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2020.

Anant's earlier experience includes working at Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc. as a Scientist in the Formulation & Process Development department. Here, they were involved in the development and scale-up of various drug products, as well as the design and automation of sterile manufacturing skids. Anant also gained experience in analytical techniques and Quality by Design (QbD) principles.

Prior to Aurobindo Pharma, Anant worked at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited in their Sterile Manufacturing division, where they managed the manufacturing of sterile products and performed various activities including sterile filtration, filling, and lyophilization.

Anant Patel, PhD, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2007. Anant then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy at Long Island University from 2009 to 2010. In 2014, they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, also at Long Island University. Anant Patel further expanded their knowledge and skills through additional certifications, including "Management Essentials" from Harvard Business School Online in December 2020 and "The Science and Business of Biotechnology" from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in April 2020.
