Misaal Tabassum's work experience includes various roles and internships in several organizations. Misaal currently works as the Head Recruitment Coordinator at the Yale University Office of Undergraduate Admissions, where they manage recruitment efforts and creates content for social media. Misaal also works as an intern at the United Nations, representing the Pakistani delegation and coordinating the participation of high-level officials. In addition, they have served as a Peer Liaison for the Visiting International Students Program at Yale University, a Head Advising Fellow at Matriculate, and an Under-Secretary General of Regional Bodies at Yale Model Government Europe. Misaal has also held roles such as a Publishing Aide at Therapy for the Culture, an Intern at Sparks Within Reach and the Chinese-American Planning Council, and a Teaching Assistant at A Child's Place Academy. Throughout their various positions, they have demonstrated a commitment to education, advocacy, and community engagement.

Misaal Tabassum began their education at Stuyvesant High School, where they pursued their high school diploma from 2017 to 2021. Following their graduation, they enrolled at Yale University in 2021 and is expected to complete their Bachelor's degree in Political Science & History in 2025. In 2022, Misaal also had the opportunity to study abroad at DIS, where they focused on History.
