Ben Lemond

Ben Lemond has a diverse work experience in the engineering and software development fields. Ben started their career as a Systems Engineer at Vectren Corporation in 2011 and worked there until 2012. During this time, they developed applications and middleware interfaces using Tibco Business Works suite and integrated Hawk server monitoring solution.

In 2012, Ben joined Matrix Design Group LLC as a Software Engineer. In this role, they led the software/firmware systems team for IntelliZone Proximity Detection, Matrix's flagship product. Ben developed C#/WPF desktop applications and C/C++ software on an embedded Linux device. Ben also provided support, conducted R&D, and played a key role in designing new product features.

In 2017, Ben became the Proximity Systems Development Manager at Matrix Design Group LLC. Ben managed a team of engineers and drove the vision and architecture design for the hardware and software subsystems of the IntelliZone proximity detection system.

From 2018 to 2021, Ben served as the Manager Software Systems - Strategic R&D at Matrix Design Group LLC. Ben led a strategic team in researching and prototyping solutions for using machine learning and AI to provide pedestrian/obstacle detection around industrial and mining machinery. Ben also worked as a system architect for two embedded solutions.

Recently, in 2021, Ben was promoted to Vice President of Engineering at Matrix Design Group LLC. In their current role, they oversee engineering operations and plays a crucial role in the company's strategic decision-making.

Ben Lemond attended Murray State University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Ben majored in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration.
