Luiz Barbieri

Luiz Barbieri currently serves as Accounting Manager at Matrix Energia since October 2023. Previously, Luiz held the position of Controller at Comerc Geração Distribuída from July 2021 to October 2023, focusing on the internalization of accounting and tax teams as well as managing accounting closure routines. Luiz also worked as Accounting Manager at BRS Comércio e Indústria de Material Esportivo S.A. from August 2020 to July 2021, overseeing LATAM accounting and tax operations and leading an IPO process. Prior to that, Luiz was a Controllership Analyst at AES Tietê, specializing in US GAAP reporting, from July 2019 to August 2020. Luiz’s earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Accounting Analyst at CPFL Renováveis and a Junior Accounting Analyst at Cyrela. Luiz holds a Specialized degree in IFRS from Fundação Escola de Comércio Álvares Penteado and is pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business through ACCA.
