Michael Herrick is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and risk management within the healthcare sector. As the Founder and HIPAA Risk Analyst at HIPAA for Humans since February 2014, Michael focuses on strategic risk management, enhancing patient privacy, data security, and HIPAA compliance for healthcare organizations. In addition, Michael serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Medicheck MX, starting in January 2018, where oversight includes building a health data ecosystem tailored to Latin America, adhering to high security and privacy standards. Michael also has a long-standing tenure as President of Matterform, a role that began in March 1992, dedicated to streamlining operations for small businesses through innovative automation solutions. Previous experience includes acting as Senior Product Manager for Toree Kickass Inventory Software from August 2018 to February 2020, and serving as a Contract Web Developer and Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from April 1995 to March 2001, where Michael contributed significantly to the development of the firm’s inaugural website. Michael holds a degree from Cornell College.
