Michael Larussa

Michael LaRussa is a seasoned professional in waste management and recycling, currently serving as a Project Analyst at the Mattress Recycling Council since 2018, where responsibilities include supporting business processes and data governance for statewide recycling programs. Previously, Michael held various positions at MRC, advancing from Program Coordinator to Program Director for the Western Region, leading efforts to implement waste management laws across multiple states. Prior experience at JLL involved managing global sustainability programs, while roles at Johnson Controls and Waste Management, Inc. focused on waste and recycling management strategies. Michael began a career in environmental services as an intern with the City of Calabasas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
