Justin Shimek

Justin Shimek is the CEO of Mattson, an innovation company for the food and beverage industry. Justin has been with Mattson for 10 years and 8 months, and has held the positions of CEO and Chief Technology Officer. Under Justin's leadership, Mattson has become the largest independent developer of new products for the food and beverage industry.

Justin has over 20 years of experience in product development, project management, and research and development. Justin began their career as a Scientist II at General Mills, where they worked for 2 years before being promoted to Project Manager/Sr. Scientist at Cereal Partners Worldwide (a joint venture between Nestle and General Mills). After 2 years in that role, Justin was recruited by E. & J. Gallo Winery to be their Project Manager--Process Technology. After 3 years with Del Monte Foods, Inc., Justin returned to Mattson to take on the role of CEO.

Justin is a dynamic leader with a passion for creating successful new brands and rapidly bringing products to market. Justin is an expert in conceptualizing new business opportunities, formulating and scaling up new products, and applying proprietary consumer insights methodologies. Their experience and expertise have made Mattson the go-to company for food and beverage companies looking to innovate and grow their business.
