Elena Gusarova has been working in the medical device industry since 2016. Elena began their career as an R&D Engineer at Sensome (formerly Instent). In 2019, they took on the role of R&D Project Manager at Mauna Kea Technologies, as well as a Cohort member PA3 at Entrepreneur First. Prior to this, they worked as a Doctoral researcher at CEA - LETI Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives from 2012 to 2019, where they focused on energy harvesting applications and developed custom piezoelectric characterization techniques for flexible PVDF-based polymers. Elena also worked as an Engineer researcher at the Research Institute of Hard Alloys from 2009 to 2012, where they studied strengthening effects in W-Co alloy by different sources of radiation. From 2006 to 2009, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Russian Academy of Science, where they designed and constructed CVD reactors for nano-diamond thin films synthesis and operated them in various research tasks.
Elena Gusarova obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nano-Electronic and Nano-Technologies from Grenoble INP - UGA between 2012 and 2015. Elena also earned an Engineer's degree in Physique from the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" (Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys) between 2006 and 2012.
