Vanesa Lauradin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Vanesa'smost recent role was as a Care Advocate at Maven Clinic starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the STAR Program Health Center from January 2017 to August 2021, where they held the positions of Care Coordinator and Patient Navigator. In these roles, they provided health education and support to patients with HIV, coordinated appointments and logistical support, and accompanied patients to healthcare and social service encounters.
Vanesa also has experience working with the Peace Corps as a Community Health & Organizational Strengthening Worker from May 2014 to July 2016. In this role, they facilitated trainings for hospital staff, enrolled new adherence groups, and conducted promotional talks for hospital patients. Vanesa has also worked as a Survey Administrator (Team Leader) at Ewald & Wasserman Research Consultants, LLC from May 2013 to May 2014, where they administered surveys, provided additional support to students who needed it, and organized data materials.
In addition, Vanesa has experience as a Research Assistant at Columbia University/New York City Commission on Human Rights from January 2013 to January 2014, where they collected field notes on housing discrimination and coded data into survey measures. Vanesa also worked as a General Office Student Assistant at Cornell University/NYS Opportunity Programs from October 2010 to December 2012, where they provided assistance to students, scheduled appointments, and maintained a conducive environment in the computer lab.
Furthermore, Vanesa gained research experience as a Research Assistant in the Social Psychology Lab at Cornell University from August 2011 to October 2011, where they ran experiments, administered protocols, and took detailed notes. Vanesa also had a summer internship at the General Counsel Office, Department of Citywide Administrative Services in 2012, and worked as a Student Worker at Robert Purcell Marketplace Eatery from March 2010 to August 2010.
Vanesa Lauradin completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at Cornell University in 2012.
