Andy Chien

Andy Chien is a distinguished physician and educator with extensive experience in dermatology and medical research. Currently, Andy serves as a volunteer dermatologist at MAVEN Project since January 2024 and has been an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington School of Nursing since September 2022. As a physician with Washington Permanente Medical Group and Affiliate Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute since November 2013, Andy has contributed significantly to both clinical practice and research. Additionally, Andy holds an Affiliate Faculty position at the University of Washington Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine from 2008 and was a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Washington - School of Medicine from July 2005 to September 2022. Andy's academic background includes an MD and PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University and a BA in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
