Shlomo Yona

Shlomo Yona has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of applied algorithmic research and artificial intelligence. Shlomo has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as Chief Technology Officer at Maverick Medical AI, where they are involved in autonomous medical coding, generation of synthetic medical data, and medical knowledge graphs. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Scientist at mathematic.ai, focusing on helping companies utilize their data through methodologies, training, and technical product management.

Shlomo has also held key positions in companies such as Deel, where they served as the Director and Head of AI, and Zeitgold, where they worked as the Chief Scientist. Shlomo played a crucial role in the acquisition of Zeitgold by Deel and was responsible for developing man-machine hybrid and AI-based bookkeeping and accounting solutions. Additionally, they have served as the Chief Scientist at YOUTILIGENT, Director of Applied Algorithmic Research and Incubation at F5 Networks, and Senior (Big) Data Scientist at Outbrain, among other positions.

Shlomo Yona's education history begins in 1996 when they attended the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Shlomo completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Software Engineering in 2000. Two years later, in 2002, they joined the University of Haifa and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2004.

In 2009, Shlomo Yona attended Beit Berl College and earned a High School Teaching Diploma with a focus on teaching Mathematics in High Schools.
