Anand Selveindran

Anand Selveindran has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Anand has worked as a Reservoir Engineer at Maverick Natural Resources, where they were responsible for reservoir engineering operations and optimization. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Houston, conducting research in the field of petroleum engineering.

Anand also gained experience as a Landmark Intern at Halliburton, where they developed drilling stability criteria and implemented a real-time stability calculation micro-service. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Houston, collaborating with OIL India on dynamic simulation models and designing a commercial CO2 flood in India.

Anand has also held positions at DNV as an Innovations Intern, where they contributed to innovative projects, and Coastal Energy Company as a Senior Petroleum Engineer, where they focused on reservoir management and asset planning. Anand was also involved in business development and production operations at Salamander Energy, evaluating oil and gas opportunities and overseeing offshore operations in the Gulf of Thailand.

Anand Selveindran pursued their education in the field of engineering and petroleum. Anand began in 2003 with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (oil/gas specialization) from the National University of Singapore. Afterward, they went on to complete their Master of Science (MS) in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston, from 2016 to 2017. Anand later continued their studies at the University of Houston and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Petroleum Engineering in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a certification in BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) in January 2015.
