Brian Gallaspy has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Brian began their career as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corps, where they served for four years and was promoted to the rank of Corporal. During this time, they completed two deployments to Iraq and gained experience in operating mine-resistant vehicles and neutralizing IEDs.
After leaving the military in 2008, Brian worked as a Lab Assistant at the Desert Research Institute until 2013. Brian then joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America as a Carpenter Apprentice from 2013 to 2014.
In 2015, Brian transitioned to the field of control systems engineering, starting as a Control Systems EI at George T Hall. Here, they gained hands-on experience in designing, assembling, and installing PLC panels, as well as programming PLCs using software such as Unity Pro and RSLogix. Brian also worked with industrial electronics such as PLCs, VFDs, and UDCs, and implemented SCADA systems using Wonderware and Modbus.
Brian continued to advance in their control systems engineering career, taking on roles as a Production Manager at Mary's Gone Crackers, Inc. in 2016 and a Control Systems Engineer at George T. Hall Company from 2016 to 2018.
From 2018 to 2020, Brian worked as a PLC programmer at Tesco Controls, Inc., further enhancing their expertise in programmable logic controllers.
Most recently, in 2020, Brian joined Soffa Electric Inc. as a Control Systems Engineer, specializing in control systems engineering.
Presently, Brian is a Senior Engineer at MAVERICK Technologies, a Rockwell Automation Company, where they utilize their extensive experience in control systems engineering.
Brian Gallaspy earned their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, completing their studies from 2008 to 2015. In addition, they obtained the FE Exam certification from NCEES in July 2015.
