Peter Shi

Peter is an Associate with Maverix Private Equity. In this role, he is focused on deal execution including financial modelling and due diligence. Peter also works closely with portfolio companies in strategic and financial management as well as the evaluation of add-on acquisitions opportunities.

Before joining Maverix, Peter was an Investment Associate at Searchlight Capital, a leading global private equity investment firm with more than $8 billion of assets under management. Peter analyzed investment opportunities across several industry verticals and was involved in portfolio company oversight. He was a board observer for two portfolio companies, Roots (TSX:ROOT) and M&M Food Market where he worked with the management teams and led strategic projects. Peter started his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, where he was involved in a variety of capital markets and M&A transactions.

Peter holds an Honours degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He is also a panelist for VERGE Capital’s impact investment fund.
