Winnie Wanjiku has worked in various roles since 2013. Winnie started as a Volunteer and Member for the Kenya Red Cross in 2013, where they were involved in First Aid, Disaster Management, and Social Work. In 2016, they joined the Water Resources Management Authority as an IT Helpdesk Intern, where they were responsible for Network Administration, Computer Maintenance and Repair, and Installation and Customization. In the same year, they joined Mawingu Networks as a Network Engineer and Network Operations Intern, where they were involved in the Network Operations in the build-out to 16 counties, 15,000 subscribers, and over 100 towers. Winnie was also directly involved in the creation and implementation of the company BSS/OSS IT RoadMap, call centre, and 24/7 NOC Operation.
Winnie Wanjiku graduated from Murang'a University of Technology in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Winnie later obtained two additional certifications, Building Wireless Community Networks from the Internet Society in 2019 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Transition, Change and Impact Awareness from the Bureau Veritas Group in 2017.
