Ryder Whitmire

Ryder Whitmire is a highly experienced aerospace professional with a strong background in astrodynamics and satellite navigation. Currently serving as a Technical Fellow in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) at Maxar Technologies since November 2018, Ryder previously worked as an Attitude Determination and Calibration Engineer at DigitalGlobe, where responsibilities included post-processed attitude determination and sensor calibration for earth imaging satellites. Prior experience includes a role as Deckboss on the F/V Skua, managing deckhands and ensuring safe operations, as well as serving as a Deckhand on a commercial halibut longline vessel in Alaska. Ryder holds a Master’s Degree in Astrodynamics and Satellite Navigation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
