Bijan Favakehi, Esq. has been working in the legal field since 2008. From 2008-2016, they were an Attorney at the Law Office of Bijan Favakehi, where they advised clients on business law and compliance matters, EB-5 Immigrant Investor Law, EB-5 due diligence, legal framework for EB-5 capital deployment, SEC Regulation D offerings, and civil litigation support. From 2016-2017, they were the Vice President of Compliance at MaxKnowledge, Inc., where they assessed federal and state rules and regulations and compliance requirements for private sector higher education institutions, and served as general counsel on all business matters. Since 2017, they have been a Cyber Security Attorney at RedPayload, where they advise companies across a broad range of industries on data protection and privacy laws, formulates privacy policies to comply with new laws or take account of new technologies or changes in business operations, and helps companies develop or improve data privacy practices and incident response plans through privacy and security assessments to manage risk.

Bijan Favakehi, Esq. obtained their JD from Concord Law School - Perdue University Global in 2007. Bijan also holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge, which they earned in 1988. Theirundergraduate studies were also at California State University, Northridge, where they obtained a BS in Engineering in 1983. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: NIST Cyber Security Framework-CFM Practitioner from ACQUIROS, Inc. in 2017, and Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) from The International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2018.
