Ben Buie

Ben started his role as MaxYield's grain team leader in September of 2018. Prior to joining MaxYield, he was the grain division manager at ECI Cooperative based in Cedar Falls, IA for six and a half years. Ben brings a diverse grain industry background. Before ECI Cooperative, he worked for Garvey Processing, Inc., with stops in Illinois and New Mexico, prior to serving as J. D. Heiskell’s grain merchandising manager in Amarillo, TX from 2006-20011.

The part of agriculture Ben enjoys most is watching the fertile ground turn seeds into green crops that turn into food, fuel and so many things we depend on. Familiar with MaxYield’s positive reputation in the ag industry, he accepted MaxYield’s grain team leader position because he felt the co-op had the team members, financial strength, and resources to grow.

Ben earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Illinois and his Master of business administration degree from Eastern New Mexico University. In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, and cheering for the Fighting Illini.
