Jose D. Diaz Albelo M.D., Mha

Jose D. Diaz Albelo, MD, MHA, currently serves as a Family Medicine Resident at Mayaguez Medical Center, having started in July 2023. Previously, Jose worked as a Primary Care Physician at IMA Medical Group from June 2022 to June 2023 and as a Surgical Resident at Universidad de Puerto Rico from July 2020 to June 2021. Early career experiences include a Medical Internship at Hospital Auxilio Mutuo and a role as a Research Assistant at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine. Additionally, Jose was involved in volunteer work with the Puerto Rico Relief Effort and served as an Associate Professor at the Clinical Skills Department of San Juan Bautista School of Medicine. Prior professional experience includes a position as Assistant Medical Internship Coordinator at NYCSPREP INC. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and a Master of Health Administration from AGMU, expected to be completed in December 2023. Jose also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
