Emily Upton

Emily Upton is an experienced data engineer and analytics professional with a strong background in the technology and education sectors. At Mayo Clinic since July 2021, Emily serves as Lead Data Engineer and Lead Analyst. Previous roles include Director of Gameplay Analytics at SciPlay Corporation, where employment spanned from January 2019 to June 2021, and various positions at SG Interactive from November 2012 to January 2019, culminating in the role of Principal Manager Analytics. Emily has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at both Hawkeye Community College and Kaplan University, teaching web and PC programming classes. Earlier experience includes roles as Business Analyst and Database Administrator at Martin Brothers Distributing Co., Inc. and The CBE Group. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Wartburg College, earned between 1993 and 1997.
