Janet Leeds

Janet Leeds has extensive experience in the field of clinical pharmacology and nonclinical development. Janet currently holds the position of Vice President Clinical Pharmacology and Nonclinical Development at Maze Therapeutics since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Director of Clinical and Nonclinical Pharmacology at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from January 2021 to December 2021. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Portola Pharmaceuticals as an Executive Director of DMPK and Toxicology. Before that, Janet held the role of Sr. Director of Preclinical Research at Siga Technologies, Inc. from 2009 to 2013. Janet also worked as a Director of Preclinical Development at CHDI from 2005 to 2008. Janet started their career as an Independent Consultant specializing in Pharmacology and Toxicology from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Pharmacology at Biota, Inc. from 2001 to 2003. Janet's early career experience includes serving as an Associate Director at Isis Pharmaceuticals from 1993 to 2001.

Janet Leeds has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology from the American Board of Toxicology.
