Catherine Wilkinson (She/Her)

Catherine runs the Total Rewards and Payroll processes at Maze. She joined because she was looking for an all-remote culture where she is valued for the work she puts in, feels a sense of accomplishment from the work she does, and is given the trust and autonomy to make decisions that will make an impact.

Before working at Maze, Catherine worked as a manager at ADP. While there, she learned the ins and outs of payroll and HR compliance.

"I was able to learn a lot while at ADP. Not only about payroll, benefits, and compliance, but how to use the resources I have available to me and how to manage a team to be successful. I am able to take these skills to Maze and expand them every day.

Catherine is excited to be working for Maze because she able to learn new things on a regular basis, make decisions and create policies that will build the Total Rewards & Payroll processes at Maze for years to come, and be the person who gets to pay people (who wouldn't like giving people money!).

"Maze has given me so many more opportunities than I could have imagined when I started and I am so grateful for everything I have been able to learn and accomplish since then. I feel like my knowledge and skills have grown exponentially. Plus I love the people I get to work with!"

Catherine values collaboration, positivity, and embracing vulnerabilities.

"Payroll and Total Rewards can be stressful because you only really hear from people when you mess up. It is hard to be correct 100% of the time, so knowing when I don't know, admitting this, and working with others (or with resources) to learn and get better is the key to being successful. Also, staying positive when I am stressed out or do hear complaints, helps keep me sane!"

Catherine values the remote culture that Maze has. She is able to prioritize her time in a way that makes sense to her; whether that be attending a Spanish class, running payroll, walking her dog, generating reports, etc. she is able to prioritize in a way that allows her to meet her work and personal goals.

Outside of work, you can find Catherine at the beaches in Barcelona, enjoying some tapas and wine at a local restaurant with her husband, walking her dog around the park, or watching TV curled up on her couch!
