Senior Research Scientist, Breeding at Mazen Animal Health

Candida Cabral is a Senior Research Scientist at Mazen Animal Health specializing in Oral Vaccines since February 2023. Prior to this role, Candida Cabral served as a Research Scientist at Corteva Agriscience from October 2009 to January 2023, focusing on molecular breeding and hybrid development for corn and wheat. Earlier in career, Candida Cabral worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from August 2003 to December 2008, investigating maize gene expression in oats, and as an Adjunct Professor at UFRGS from April 2000 to December 2002, teaching plant breeding and conducting research in the oat breeding program. Candida Cabral holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Plant Sciences from the University of Minnesota and a Master's degree in Agricultural and Horticultural Plant Breeding from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
