Mihai Szabo

Mihai Szabo is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. As the CEO and Founder of MBS Source since 2006, Mihai has established a leading platform for trading data in mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, catering to major Wall Street firms. Prior to this role, Mihai served as Principal at Financial Services International Corporation, managing the mortgage-backed securities trading desk, and as CEO and Principal of Jencks & Co, LLC, a broker-dealer for mortgage-backed securities. Mihai's entrepreneurial journey began with WinSoft Consulting, Inc., an IT consulting firm, and SilvaSoft SRL, one of Romania's pioneering software companies. Mihai's career began in IT as the Head of Information Technology at the National Forest Authority in Romania, where efforts were made to modernize data processing. Mihai holds a Master’s Degree in Forestry with a major in Computer Science from the University of Brasov and has pursued management studies at the Open Business School in Great Britain.
