Jean - Pierre Trou

Jean Pierre Trou is a prominent architect and designer with extensive experience in both practice and academia. Currently serving as CEO and Co-Founder of mbue since May 2022, Trou also functions as the Founding Principal of Runa Workshop, a design practice specializing in architecture, interiors, and product design. Trou's previous roles include Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, Principal at Trou Studio, and Partner at Vollmer + Trou, with a focus on residential and commercial design, furniture, and product design. An early career included positions as Project Designer at Susman Tisdale Gayle and Intern Architect at Artadi Arquitectos. Trou holds a Master's degree in Architecture, Design & Theory from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
