Kurt Ty

Kurt Ty, CPA, CMA has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kurt currently holds the position of Head of Finance & Controlling NAFTA MB Vans at Mercedes-Benz USA, a role they started in February 2022. Prior to this, Kurt worked at Mercedes-Benz Canada, where they held various roles including Manager of Finance & Controlling - USA and Canada, Manager of Controlling Vans Sales and Aftersales, Manager of Residual Value and Risk Management, Controller of Cars and Parts, and Financial Analyst. Before joining Mercedes-Benz Canada, Kurt worked as a Financial Analyst at TdotPerformance, a start-up business specializing in aftermarket automotive performance parts. Kurt also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ryerson University and as a Taxpayer Services Agent at the Canada Revenue Agency. Earlier in their career, Kurt served as a Consultant at RCG Insight and completed a Financial/Controlling Internship at Mercedes-Benz Canada.

Kurt Ty, CPA, CMA pursued their Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management with a specialization in Accounting/Finance from Ryerson University between 2008 and 2013. Kurt furthered their education by completing the CPA, CMA program from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2014 to 2015. Prior to their university education, Kurt Ty attended Earl Haig Secondary School.
