Molly Vanderloo has a combined background in international and local humanitarian work as well as a decade of professional services with RSM McGladrey, a leading accounting firm. Her commitment to the non-profit industry spans over twenty years and has led to roles of high-level leadership, finance, accounting, human resources, information systems and that of the Board of Directors.
At RSM Molly was placed as outsourced CFO at many organizations where she learned optimum processes for best internal controls and reporting. Through this role at RSM, and while leading her own business, Molly served as chief financial officer for several clients such as Greater Chicago Food Depository, After School Matters, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, Kenneth Young Center and Zonta International. Ultimately, she led RSM's national outsourcing group serving the non-profit industry. She worked with Six Sigma experts to develop highly efficient processes specific to non-profit accounting needs. Prior to RSM, Molly served as an American Volunteer in Democracy consultant in Lithuania for Freedom House, an independent, and globally respected, non-profit. In the beginning of her career she spent five years at IBM and then was placed in Kenya by Visions in Action, a D.C.-based global non-profit, as a volunteer at a Nairobi non-profit consulting firm.
She served on the Board of Directors of Heartland Human Care Services (the largest of the Heartland Alliance affiliates) and has been active on many of their committees and initiatives for 14 years. She has also served on the United Way's Adult Impact Panel, Financial Stability Panel, and the Health and Wellness Work Group. Molly has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance and a Master’s in Business Administration from DePaul University.
