Catherine Hoovel

Catherine is McDonald’s Chief Accounting Officer since October 2016. In this role she is accountable for all external reporting and SEC compliance, accounting technical guidance and accounting policies.

Prior to this role she was Sr. Director, U.S. McOpCo Controller from April of 2014 to September of 2016. As a member of the McOpCo Business Unit Leadership Team she was responsible for financial management, portfolio optimization, operational financial consulting and safety risk management.

Catherine has also held roles as Sr. Director Global Planning and Analysis, Director Financial Management and Development for US McOpCo, Director of Financial Reporting and Director Corporate Analysis and Support.

Catherine’s background also includes time in the U.S. Controller Group supporting key business initiatives and five years in the Corporate Controller Group in both external reporting and Europe management reporting roles where she was a 2001 McDonald’s President’s Award winner. Catherine also spent two years in Internal Audit working on international market audits.
