Paul then moved on to Jack Morton Worldwide, PDG, where they worked as a Production/Administrative Assistant, handling tasks such as revising marketing materials and coordinating strategic partnerships. In 2002, Paul became a Community Coordinator at Forsythe Middle School in the Ann Arbor Public Schools system.

In 2005, Paul joined Washtenaw County as a Project Coordinator for the Water Protection Activities Report, where they managed the report's development and provided expertise on environmental regulations. Paul then worked as an Environmental Planner/Analyst in the Systems Planning Unit at the City of Ann Arbor from 2002 to 2007, contributing to various environmental planning projects.
