Carmen Tackett Zawodny has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and companies. Carmen Tackett started their career in 1987 at the Department of Defense, where they served as an Administrative & Human Resources professional. During their time there, they also held positions such as Library Technician and Office Manager/Executive Assistant.
In 1994, Carmen joined USACIDC and took on the role of Family Support Group (FSG) Chairperson, where they provided support and organized various activities for the military community.
In 1999, Carmen joined McKinley Marketing Partners as an Office Manager/Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. Carmen Tackett excelled in this position and was eventually promoted to Assistant Vice President of Management Operations. In their current role as Chief of Staff, Carmen supports executive employees and manages daily operations, including agenda-setting and communication management.
Throughout their career, Carmen has displayed strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle a range of administrative tasks in fast-paced environments. Carmen Tackett is experienced in office management, financial reconciliation, information technology, and employee benefits.
Carmen Tackett Zawodny began their education at Mannheim American High School from 1982 to 1985, where they did not pursue any specific field of study. Following high school, they attended Florida College in 1985, again focusing on general studies. Their formal education culminated at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they pursued a degree in General Studies from 1988 to 1998. Additionally, Carmen obtained several certifications related to writing and communication skills, including Editing and Proofreading Made Simple, Grammar Foundations, Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing, Tips for Writing Business Emails, Writing Email, and Writing with Impact. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn in November 2020.
