Richard Saxby

Richard Saxby is the Motorsports Director at McLaren Applied since September 2021. Prior to that, Richard held the position of Head of Test and Development Centre at MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team from August 2013 to September 2021, where Richard contributed to winning multiple World Drivers and Constructors titles. With a background in advanced automotive engineering at Williams Advanced Engineering and track-side systems engineering at Marussia F1 Team and Renault Sport Racing, Richard has a solid foundation in the Formula 1 industry. Richard began their career as a graduate engineer at Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology after completing a BEng. (Hons) in Systems Engineering at the University of Kent.
