Murray Silby

Murray Silby is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in media and communications. Currently a Senior Reporter at McPherson Media Group since March 2022, Murray reports for the Shepparton News and mentors young journalists. Prior experience includes serving as a Communications Officer for the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria, where Murray managed communications during Australia's first Treaty process. Murray also worked as a freelance journalist and held positions at SBS Australia as a broadcast journalist and radio news reporter/producer. Early career roles include a media officer for the Central Land Council and a sports editor at TNT Magazine.
